Our stay was enhanced by the convenient walk to the world of beatrix potter attraction, making it easy for us to explore this beloved landmark, and we also enjoyed leisurely strolls around the nearby parks in the evenings after our hiking adventures. definitely a great spot for a weekend getaway focused on city strolls and enjoying nature.

st john's lodge was awsome! the staff was super friendly and helped us with everything. breakfast was like the best ever, so many choices and the room was clean and comfy. plus, it's in a perfect spot close to everything, like windermere and bowness. loved the extra touches, like umbrellas at the door for rainy days.

the bed was a bit too hard for my liking and the check-in was kinda confusing at first.

What a lovely stay! The room was clean with a comfy bed and a great mini fridge. We enjoyed some serious relaxation in the sauna and steam room. Just a heads-up, the common areas could use a little sprucing up, but it didn’t take away from our experience. 😊

I had a wonderful stay with a cozy double room that was spotless and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was absolutely the highlight, with an extensive menu that provided plenty of delicious options cooked to order. The location allowed for easy access to both Windermere and Bowness, making it perfect for exploring. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like umbrellas at the entrance and the welcoming demeanor of the owner.

The cozy double room was impeccably clean and provided a homely atmosphere, making it a delightful stay. Breakfast was a standout feature, offering an impressive variety of fresh, delicious options that catered to all dietary preferences. Accessibility could be improved, as the en-suite was down a few steps, which may not be ideal for late-night trips. The only downside was the room size. although beautifully decorated, it felt a bit constricted. Rich and Ada's warm hospitality truly enhanced the experience.

Had a fantastic time with friends! The off-site health club just 2 miles away was a great bonus. Our spacious room was perfect for relaxing after hiking. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. Highly recommend checking it out, especially if you're into outdoor activities!
